Question

Lff502 - Unexpected Error and 0472-WF1

asked on April 17, 2023

I have 3 branches in my laserfiche forms process, each branch is identical as far as the user tasks, email tasks, and workflow tasks. 1 out of the 3 branches works perfectly but the the other two do not. I'm consistently getting the same errors, LFF502-UnexpectedError and 0472-WF1. Anyone have any idea as to what is causing this error? I've reviewed the variables, and in workflow I've looked at the process there. I'm looking for an entity in the repository and replacing it with a new entity (document)

thank you

When you choose the Validation checkmark at the top, you receive no errors?

When a Save to Repository Task quits it's typically either the Profile used in the activity doesn't have access to the location in the repository to save the file, or does not have rights to assign the Templates or Fields.

For the Workflow, you should check the Workflow designer, and use the search feature to find if your Workflow had ran, and any errors that it produced if it had.

Hi Steve,

I did check the validation checkmark in laserfiche forms and everything was fine. I apologize, I uploaded a corrected snapshot, my errors are on the Workflow tasks, not the Save to Repository task. I'm so confused because the first branch works and the other 2 do not. Where in Workflow can I search for errors?

By the way, yes the process starts of with 3 branches, Planning, Design, and Construction stages.

Each branch then has 2 branches, add a new company, or company exists. This allows you to select from a company already on a list or add a new company not on the list.

Each of these 2 branches then have 2 branches, signed documents or unsigned documents. Do we require a signature and if yes, do we have a signature. If signature is needed and no signature provided the process will loop. Sometimes our documents require 5 - 6 signatures and we do not always get all signatures at the same time.

thank you for looking at this for me. I've reviewed the variables a number of times and since the first branch works perfectly I'm using it as my guide.

PS, I'm very new to this so thank you for answering my questions.

Hi Lucinda, a picture of the BP would be helpful. Is this an OnPrem or Cloud system? Is there a condition that splits into the 3 branches? Is the error happening when it branches? What kind of conditions are you using at the branch?

Hi Steve,

yes, the process branches, the branches are identical except for different variables due to different forms. The first process works perfectly. The 2nd and 3rd branch are identical to the first but get stopped in the same location. Please tell me what else I can provide, and THANK YOU!

Sorry, correction, indicated the wrong stop, see changes red circle and yellow highlight. The process is stopping on the workflow tasks

In the workflow designer under the search, you can pick the workflow that has run under your service task and the workflow instances will appear in the middle pane, by double clicking on the task it will open to review the workflow. Items that have a red or yellow square around them is where a message was generated in the workflow. There is a tab at the top of the workflow called messages where they appear. As this is getting rather advanced, you likely may need your vendor to review with you. If you don;t have one, drop you email here and I will reach out to you

Hi Steve,

it looks like Find Entry has a warning and Delete Entry has an Error, however this is the same workflow for the 1st branch, I guess this is possible since it is here. The first part of the branch works which means it creates the entry and the entry name from variables, but from what I am seeing it must be in the name of the entry? FYI - the new document is replacing the old document using the same name if it is still in the loop and needs more signatures.

Find Entry has a warning, so likely it didn't find anything and that's why Delete Entry failed.
