LFDS server update KB5023788 and KB5023697

LFDS server update KB5023788 and KB5023697 breaks the LFDS server because it then refuses to allow the service to start, not with a local user, nor with a laserfiche admin AD user. We have had to revert back to the install before the update. But we are required by our network staff to install this asap.

Any suggestions?

Apologies for the delay. We got to the bottom of it. The updates were NOT the cause of the issue. The certificate was renewed on the licensing server the week before the update and the thumbprint did not match with IIS. It did take a week for the licensing server to start failing. Our Vendor got to the bottom of it.... Thank  you MCCI!

Is there any additional information about the start failure in the event logs?

The relevant event logs would be:

  • Windows > Application
  • Windows > System

There should be one or more corresponding Warning/Error/Critical log messages with full details/stack traces.
