Question

2 Laserfiche Service configurations not stored in the database

asked on March 3, 2023

Wondering where the following 2 configurations are stored as they appear to be the only 2 things not stored in the SQL database of the master Laserfiche Service. So when performing migrations if we only move the database, we lose these 2 configs.

  • Repository Name
  • User License Assignment (IE: if a user is named or not)

The named user database is stored in a different file. You can read about it here.

Cool that is what I was looking for! I kept taking screenshots and manually re-applying. Thank you

Repository configuration is saved in the registry. Moving the repository should be done by un-registering it from the source server and re-registering to the new one.

I believe we do this since you must register the repository to connect to the database from a new source. Each time it forgets the repository name though.

I'm not sure what you mean, you supply a name at registration time.

When registering, it is always blank, but once entered, where is it saved if not in the database.

In the registry on the Laserfiche Server machine.
