Question

Laserfiche Documents are not getting OCR'ed when coming in from Quickfields

asked on March 2, 2023

Hi!

I have Laserfiche options set to OCR New Documents, expecting that to take care of documents sent to Laserfiche from Quickfields. Can you let me know what I am missing?

Thanks!

Hi Jean,

Quickfields has a number of componets but in short they all refer back to a configured session in one way or another.

Quick Fields Componets:

-Quickfield Workstation - Used to configure the QuickFields session(s) and can act as a standalone scan station for users to manually initate QF Sessions.

-Quickfields Server - Built on IIS, allows for you centrilze QF Sessions and incorporate Quick Fields Scanning

-Quickfields Scanning - A streamline more scan operator interface used for to Scan into a Quick Fields Session

-Quick Field Agent - Allows you run a quickfields session on a schedule / unattended.

Attached is a white paper on Quick Field componets.

There is another utlity that can automatically import documents & OCR them called Import Agent, maybe that is what your refer too?

Best of luck.

What does your session configuration look like? Do you have the Omipage OCR added to the configuration?

Hi, Thanks for responding. My issue is when documents are pushed into Laserfiche from Quickfields... Not from the Quickfields session.
