laserfiche connector

I am just digging into using Laserfiche connector. My question is, can connector pull the information from a document already in Laserfiche and fill it in the 3rd party app? I see so far all documentation going from the 3rd party app to Laserfiche but I would like to reverse that....

Slowly finding the info... I can use the Write Data to an application option... then I can select the "Laserfiche Client" and go from there. If anyone knows of any videos or other documentation on this that would be fantastic most of what I am finding is gathering from a 3rd party app to open a document into Laserfiche.
