Audit Trail Delete Entry

asked on February 28, 2023 Show version history

When running a report with the Delete Entry option selected, the report shows the appropriate information, but how can we determine from the report if the delete entry was a file, folder, or shortcut?

Would it be possible to submit a feature request with Laserfiche for this?

Entry type was never recorded in deletion audit events. Why is it relevant?

I'm guessing if you shift>delete an entry, it would be useful to know if it was a document, a folder (potentially containing multiple documents) or shortcut? Without restoring the repository DB and going back to the entry ID, you'd never know?

You'd get one purge event or multiple ones with the same operation ID to indicate multiple entries were deleted in one request.

In version 11 there are a couple of Type columns, but whether you're deleting a document, shortcut, or folder it always says "Entry". Seems strange that there wouldn't be a column that tells you the actual type.

Hey Blake,

Yes I struggled to believe this as well, but I've looked and looked and can't see how to find this out.

In AT 10 you could probably backwards engineer it somehow via SSRS or Power Bi, but that's no longer an option in AT 11 as it's sadly no longer SQL based.

Looks like this will just be a feature request.
