Question

Disable redline via Workflow

asked on February 24, 2023

Hello, we have a client that works out of the repository with Word documents and sends them to review via forms with redlining enabled. We want to save the word document into a finalized PDF after it is reviewed but noticed that it keeps the redlining enabled when saved as a PDF.

Is there a script we can run in WF to disable this before we create the PDF copy? If so, do we need to enable it after the PDF is created?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alex, update Word Doc now accepts all pending document changes before converting a Word Doc with revisions to PDF on Workflow 12.

You can see other changes from: Laserfiche 12 Changelog

Get Laserfiche Workflow 12 package from: Laserfiche 12 - Downloads

Update Word Document does not currently have this functionality. I'll log the request. If we were to add it, you would expect us to accept all changes before converting the document to PDF?

Hello Miruna,

Yes, we would want all of the changes to be accepted so that all of the comments and redlined changes are hidden and only the newly typed info is there.
