Issues with Import Agent since database Migration

asked on February 24, 2023 Show version history

We have recently migrated our test database to a new server, since then we are getting errors in import agent.

Our import agent is currently installed on our production server and our production instances are working successfully, however, our test instances are erroring as below:

There was an error running the profile (profile name) while importing the file (file location).
(Multistatus response. [9039]
The file exists [-2147024816]
The file exists [-2147024816])

Error Code: 9039

The documents are all going into the error folder (all PDF documents, but have also tried different types of documents).

We have not changed any repository names/Service accounts etc.

Any ideas?

Hi Helen,

This isn't strictly an error with import agent. The 'file exists' error will actually be coming from the Laserfiche volume. Essentially it's trying to save a new document into the Laserfiche volume, but the file already exists there in windows.

If you've recently migrated the database, you'll need to ensure that your timestamps on the DB and the LF volumes match, or you'll receive errors like this.

Another option could be to use the Laserfiche volume consistency checker to identify files which are missing or shouldn't be there within the Laserfiche volume. You'll need to request the most recent version through your VAR though.

Hope this helps!
