Forgot to Save to Laserfiche, any options?

asked on February 23, 2023

We have a business process that has changed over the last couple of years. When it was changed we forgot to add a condition on a gateway to route the files to a Save to Laserfiche task. We still have the instances in Forms. This form is over 10 pages and has multiple uploads within it.

Aside from going through each one and manually downloading/uploading can anyone think of a way to get these forms with the associated metadata and attachments into our repository?

In Forms 11 Update 3 we provide out of box way to restart a completed instance on existing user task step. If you have a user task step on the instance history you can add a STR service task after it and another end event after the STR. Then go to the instance detail page to restart that user task and skip it, the STR step would be executed and the instance would finish after that.

This still need some manual actions though.

This is great! Were going to update over Spring Break which is in 2 weeks or so. After I do it I will update the post and mark it resolved. Thank you.

Hey @████████- I hadn't heard about this feature, and I'm really interested in how it works.  I just checked in my system (Version 11.0.2212.30907 - which I though was Forms 11 Update 3) and I don't see any options on completed instances and/or completed tasks to restart them.

Is there more information about how this works and how to use this functionality?

EDIT TO ADD:  Oh, never mind.  I see in the List of Changes that it says "Ability to reopen a completed/terminated instance in the main process. An admin may restart a user task in the main process with all current process variable data if an instance has any issues. Restarting tasks within a sub process is not supported."  And the first three I'd looked at were all subprocesses.  I do see the option on some other completed instances that are not using subprocesses.
