Does the Distributed Cluster Service work on OCR'ing PDF documents or is it just for TIFF documents in your repository?

I asked this question back in 2018 and the answer was no at the time.

 

Does version 11 support now PDF Documents using the Distributed Cluster Service?

Yes, the ability to generate TIFF pages from PDFs (and thus enabling OCR on those pages) using Distributed Computing Cluster was released as part of Laserfiche 11.

I don't want to generate TIFF Pages from the PDF document I just want to OCR them. Is that possible? 

 

Don't want to double our storage for 1 document.

You have to use the Laserfiche Generate Pages on PDF's to OCR them. Storage is relatively cheap for the added benefit of OCR Searching though. IMO
