I have been asked if it is possible to Always show the Entry ID by default in the Laserfiche Web Client without having to always click "Show Advanced" as they use this number as their primary index key.
Is this possible?

There isn't a setting to make that always visible. Maybe there's a way to avoid the manual copy/paste, though. Can you say more about what the users do with the entry id?
Hi Brian
Its a confidential Cloud setup that is split into two areas. On one side documents will have been redacted and copied to the other once done. The workflow that copies the document will insert the original Entry ID into the new copy and they would use the Entry ID to refer back to the source department to request further information or to check under the redaction for information.
They strictly cannot see each side of the system or where it may be located so will instruct each other to look up by Entry ID hence referring to this piece of information frequently.
Hope that explains it a little bit better as for the reasoning.
I get the big picture, but I'm not sure I follow which user needs easy access to the entry id under the "Show Advanced" section. The one side would have the source document's id as a metadata field, so I would assume it's the user that has access to the source document. But then I don't think I follow why they need it or what they would do with it.
In any event, I should have mentioned that entry id is available as a column in the folder listing, which is maybe even a more convenient place to read it from.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that there is a search filter for entry id, if that's part of your process.
Can you use the same documents if the second side user(s) cannot see through the redactions? If that is the case, I would set it up so new documents have to be redacted and approved before going into the directory that second side user(s) can see. Make sure they do not have access to the staging area.
I understand that is sometimes not good enough, but I think it is more practical when it can be.
