Question

Error: The archive entry was compressed using an unsupported compression method.

I get this message when I click on Request Signature with DocuSign:

Error: The archive entry was compressed using an unsupported compression method.

Any idea?

The message is pretty clearly about a compressed archive being deemed invalid, but it's hard to say which of Laserfiche and DocuSign created the archive, and which thinks it's invalid. There should be more details in the Event Viewer on the web client server.

I just realized you posted this to Laserfiche Cloud. I did find that error message in our logs, and opened ticket #414346 to investigate.

I don't see any other occurrences of this error, which is often an indication that it's related to the data involved. Is it possible there's a problem with one of the documents you are sending to DocuSign?

To sum up where we are, I think the root cause here is one of:

  1. Problem with a document in your repository. Maybe something was imported as a zip but with the wrong extension?
  2. User error - is someone sending DocuSign data that they can't handle?
  3. A bug in our software, but which only manifests in a particular flow.

 

In any case, we would need you to open a support case to move forward with this.
