Question

Download Multipage TIFFs When Downloading Folders

asked on February 14, 2023

Hello,

We have a customer with multi-page TIFF files uploaded to their repo that needs to download these to their local machines as multi-page TIFFs. When downloading a single document, all pages are in a single file as expected (like they were uploaded), however if they try to download a folder of these, all the documents get broken up into single-page TIFF files. I've tried looking through all of the download settings, but I don't see any that seem relevant to controlling this behavior.

Besides zipping these files up, which impacts their use within the Laserfiche repo browser, is there some way to get these documents to download as multi-page files?

Try Tools > Options > Download > Images > Download multiple images from a document as a multi-page TIFF file.

Thanks for the reply, Michael.

My original post could have been clearer; they are trying to use the LF Cloud web interface to do the download.

It looks like using the on-prem client and the option you mentioned does work to download the files as multi-pages. This could be another workaround, and quite possibly a better one than zipping everything up, but still isn't quite as straightforward as the customer might like.

You can use the Windows client with LF Cloud.

EDIT: Sorry, read too fast! You already know this.
