Using the Web Client (Cloud) Microsoft Surface

asked on February 1, 2023

Hello,

Does anyone have experience using the Web Client on a Surface tablet? Any pros, cons or likes and dislikes you experienced that you weren't expecting?

I wouldn't think it would be too different since its running Windows but have a customer wanting to run one as they want to see if it would be easier for them.

They add a lot of notes via sticky notes in Laserfiche, would the pen allow them to write the notes or do they still need to type them?

Hi Ashleigh!

Correct. Same OS, same browser(s), standard display resolutions. The 10.6" physical display might be a little small to easily navigate as a touchscreen but you should be fine with either touchpad, mouse, or pen peripherals.

They add a lot of notes via sticky notes in Laserfiche, would the pen allow them to write the notes or do they still need to type them?

Sticky Note annotations require typed text input and do not accept "drawn" inputs. Think of them as text boxes with a background color and a page coordinate location anchor. That's essentially how they're stored on the backend.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Sam
