I would like to be able to rename the tab in forms 11 from "New Submission" to "something else"
If you are using the classic designer, you can modify the page title via Javascript.
But if you are using the modern designer, there isn’t an option. Even in version 11 update 3, which added JavaScript support, it doesn’t work, because the JavaScript there is pretty locked down and cannot access components of the form structure directly. Bottom-line, it isn’t currently possible on the Modern designer. We upgraded to 11 update 3 last night with high hopes, and I'm discouraged about spending the hour on it and I'm not going to use it because I need the javascript functionality of the classic Forms 10...
Don't get me wrong, the Javascript functionality on the Modern designer is great within the criteria where they have set it up (to use the LFForm object - details in the help guide here: https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/11/administration/en-us/Default.htm#../Subsystems/Forms/Content/Javascript-and-CSS/JavaScript-in-the-Forms-Designer.htm). And all your normal Javascript functionality to manipulate variables, do comparisons, and loops, etc. are all there.
I've found the Modern designer is much easier to streamline forms that need to look good in both Mobile and Desktop, and the Field Rules in Modern are more powerful too. As long as my Javascript needs were limited.
The limitation is in the fact that the Javascript runs within a sandboxed iFrame, so the actual page elements are effectively on a different webpage, and thus inaccessible. You could edit the window title, but it would be editing the title for the iFrame, not the entire form.
Support change the window title with out of box option is in our internal features list, when we do planning for future releases we will also prioritize such features that can help reduce the usage of custom JavaScript.
