Process Overview Report in Laserfiche Cloud

Hi All,

 

In self hosted forms there is a 'Process Overview' report, which is a great consolidation of the process including timelines, outstanding tasks and high level task allocation.

 

I can't see this same report option in cloud, am I missing something or are all these reports in cloud split (performance/workload etc.)?

 

If they're split in cloud can we please make a feature request to have this report implemented, as it's used a lot by all our on premise customers and is a great 'one stop shop' report.

Hi Chris,

There is currently no exact feature parity of the "Process Overview" report on cloud.

But the "Operational Dashboard" under Home site also provides task and instance info at high level. It's still in the introduction stage. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Hi Francis, 

My team uses laserfiche cloud and the only concern we have with this operational dashboard is that we are unable to view the status of all tasks if the process has been modified and there are many versions to a process. We will have to select each version and then add the number of tasks in progress to find the total tasks in progress. 

Is there any way it shows all tasks in progress irrespective of the version?

Hi Pallavi, 

Currently, the dashboard only supports filtering by one process and one version at a time. 

So your team would actually look into the data from many versions of a process? We can consider adding "All version" to the version filter as feature request, like what we did on the Business Process Monitor page. 

Feel free to let me know if you think of other feature requests with detailed use cases and how you normally use this dashboard.

Hi Francis, 

In the reports, is there a way to check how many tasks were suspended? Currently few of our tasks get suspended due to the below error. However they get fixed after few minutes. so they were faulty and then they were fixed. Is there a way to track how many tasks were suspended? 

Error message : Failed to save to repository. The document or attachment was unable to be generated - please retry service. If issues continue, please open a support case. [LFF4121-FormGenerationFailed]

You can use the Irregularity report under Business Process to get the number for suspended Save to Repository tasks, but again it filters by a specific version. Hope that would help, to some extent.

It would be very convenient if it would show all versions rather than each version and it shows all terminated tasks but we have few suspended tasks which were fixed and we need to find that count. I guess thats not possible yet. kindly consider it.

Hi Francis,

 

Thanks for the response, this is pretty close to what's offered in the process overview report, it might be good to include this operational dashboard in the list of reports under the 'report' tab along with the others, as I was completely unaware this existed until today.

 

For information, rarely do we see customers using the granular reports (workload etc.), most just build custom reports to get the information they want above and beyond the process overview, so it would be good to make this operational dashboard more prominent in cloud if possible.
