Forms Portal- Login to Forms Portal on DMZ Server (Non-LFDS)

posted on January 18, 2023

Hello,

We have a customer who just installed Forms Portal on a DMZ server.

Setup was done using the "Two-Forms Server, one SQL DB" method outlined in the DMZ Whitepaper.

They have built a few forms to mark public.

Since they are not authenticating with LFDS and STS, what is the best way to mark their forms public, since the Forms Portal install, is on the DMZ server?

I believe they would need to use the Forms SysAdmin account listed in the Forms configuration (make sure it is licensed), to log into the Forms Portal and mark the Form(s) public, correct?

Appreciate the feedback,

Jeff Curtis

If they are able to use a Reverse Proxy instead of a DMZ server, I would recommend that. If a DMZ is their only option then you would just need to sign into Forms using the public address with a Forms account that has the Process Admin role for the process in question and set it to Public.
