Forms 11 Update 3 - Action buttons location on multi-page forms

posted on January 18, 2023

Did something change with the location of the action buttons on multi-page forms?  My users have informed me that they can only see the action buttons on the last page of a multi-page form and they used to see the buttons on the first page as well.

Please advise.

Hi, we support configure to show submit button on every page or on last page only on Forms 11 Update 4.

You can see other changes from:

Hi Mike,

For action buttons, did you mean the submit button or the next/previous page buttons?

The submit button should only show on last page; while the next/previous page buttons can be turned on to show on each page.

Update:

If you meant the submit button, and you were using modern form before upgrade, actually it was a bug and we fixed it in 11 Update 3; that is, submit button should only show on last page.

Yes, I am referring to the various action buttons like Submit, Approve, Reject on the new form designer.  Our users immediately noticed and told me that they never had to go to the last page before in order to submit the form.

Rui, is there a workaround for this? We have a few forms that have all necessary fields on the first page, and then reference/support information on subsequent pages. For us, having the Submit button on all pages was very helpful in those cases.

Hi Shawn, there is no workaround for the new form at this moment; if you could use classic form, you can use custom script to add the buttons to all pages.
