The process step configured within the task 'Submission Confirmation' is not valid or has not occurred. [LFF380-ValidateNoStep]

I am having trouble understanding this statement from Forms at all. Can it be broken down in a different way?

What happens is the step Submission Confirmation completes successfully but it terminates all other steps even if they are not in the path of this step.

Hi Chad,

Is this "Submission Confirmation" step an email service task? The stack trace meant that this step had attach form option enabled but there was no attach step configured on it.

Can you do a validation on process diagram and see if it reports any error?

It is an email service task. Validation checks out and they do have a step assigned for attaching. The Submissions Confirmation step even completed successfully after a 15 hour wait period. The problem is that because this terminated the process, and never suspended, all other tasks including the archive to the repository were terminated, even though they are on a different path.

I just noticed when going back in there the 15 hour timeframe. This likely means the problem is more serious than a configuration issue.

Is there any error logged at the time "12/23/2022 8:27:31 AM"?

Did you have auto retry enabled on Forms? If so, it may happen that someone updated the process at that time and the instance got auto retried to make the email service task pass, but the change broke other paths.
