Unusual Guest WebLink Traffic

Hello, 

 

I have a user who is reporting they are seeing some unusual traffic hammering away at their guest user account, we are thinking its web crawlers. They’ve reduced the timeout to 3 minutes, are on Laserfiche Weblink V9 and it is intermittent.  Is there any way to block or mitigate unwanted guest traffic within Laserfiche?

We get hit by web crawlers at the end/beginning of each month. If it's Google then you can probably block it by configuring the robots.txt file as mentioned here:

https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/robots/intro

But if it's a crawler that doesn't pay attention to robots.txt configurations then I have no idea what to tell you.
