Drag/drop pdf into Laserfiche result in random symbols and boxes instead of text

Test rendered as boxes is usually because the pdf uses a font that it doesn't embed, and the font is also not installed on the machine that is processing the document. If you know where the pdf came from, can you check with its creator about embedding fonts?
