Unfortunately we don't have an ETA for self-hosted capture profiles. However, we would love to hear more about how you and your customers would use them, since this helps us prioritize.

Have you looked at Quick Fields as a functional equivalent? It is actually far more powerful.
The advantage to Capture Profiles over Quickfields is the handwriting recognition is really good in capture profiles and automated invoice processing on capture profiles.
Otherwise Quickfields would be a good option.

Not at this time.
I have a client trying to avoid setting up templates for the multiple different vendors and checks types which constantly change. They'd like to be able to use Smart Capture Profiles to capture the metadata on checks. I've heard this may be an option in the Fall release, but don't see it mentioned.
