Re-assign tasks en masse through monitor tab

Hi All,

 

This might be more of a feature request, but how can you re-assign a batch of running tasks to a different user en-masse?

 

I can't see how to do this either in cloud or on-premise?

Chris, the second way I mentioned is from the Monitor tab. You have to switch from Instances to Tasks though since a single Forms instance could be assigned to multiple user tasks at the same time.

Chris,

The way I like to do it is from the Workload report. Run the Workload report, select the individual in question, select the # of current tasks (it's a link), in the popup window select all the tasks you want to reassign and click the Reassign button.

You aren't able to do this from the Monitor page when you are on the Instances tab, you have to switch to the Tasks tab. After that you should be able to mass reassign.

Thanks Blake, this is helpful, although I'm baffled as to why you can't do this same activity from the monitor tab (where you'd expect to do this). 

 

@Laserfiche - Please can you raise this as a feature request.

You can do it from the Teams tab of the Inbox under ''Assigned Tasks' if you're the manager of the process/team.

Hi Glen,

 

That's only if you're a member of the team. 

 

I mean as the global administrator from the monitor tab, there isn't a way to do this that I can see.

I make myself admin only on all of our Teams. I never get assigned tasks, but can still reassign tasks from the Inbox Team tab. There might be some more nuances to giving the rights than that. Not sure if you also need to be an Admin or Manager of the specific processes also. 

I just checked, and I can reassign tasks in bulk from Inbox/TeamName/Assigned Tasks when I'm only an Administrator for the team.

This only works if the tasks are assigned to a team. If you have a bunch of tasks assigned to a user (and that user is off sick or out of the office for some reason) there should be a way as a system administrator to bulk assign all the current users tasks to another user for them to deal with. 

 

I can't see how to currently do this, I can only re-assign them one by one.

Oh I see. Sorry. We have a very large environment, and almost never assign tasks to individual users. We need everything done by teams and roles so departments can manage their own work.

I'm not sure I understand your situation correctly, but, if you are having issues with Suspended Forms because you are attempting to email to a user that is no longer with the company, you can change the email address on the task (within the Process Diagram) and they should automatically send to the new email.  You may have to select them all and click "Retry".

Thanks Velma, no this isn't when a form has an issue, it's when the user has multiple forms assigned to them (possibly from different processes)

 

My question is, how as an administrator can I intervene en-masse and bulk assign all those tasks to someone else?
