Change Theme/Style on Laserfiche (Cloud) Web Repository

asked on November 25, 2022

We're on Laserfiche Cloud. After migrating to the cloud, we transitioned to the web client from the Windows client. Since then, I've had some users complain that they often find it difficult to read the interface in the repository. Perhaps not enough contrast.

Is it possible to change the theme or style of the Laserfiche web Repository, preferably on a per-user basis?

There isn't currently a way to modify the style. The idea has been discussed, but we don't have anything in the works right now.

If there is something that is giving your users trouble, we could look into that. Are there particular elements that you think should have more contrast? And which browser are your users using?

Thank you Brian. We're primarily using Google Chrome throughout the organization, with some users on Edge. As a Firefox user, I found that Firefox has a slightly thicker font in the repository view compared to Chrome, so that may help users a little.

The elements I believe the users are struggling with relate to the file view ports themselves. Perhaps it's the color used for the links to a particular file/folder. I don't necessarily have much difficulty myself with it, but I can see where others may struggle if they are in the position where they use glasses for computer/eye fatigue already.

I've sent an email out to our users to see if they can describe what in particular is difficult to read. I'll post any findings here.

Hello, we've recently moved to the cloud and was just approached with a similar request.

Difficulty seeing the difference between different files and subfolders.
I know there are little bars for the metadata templates, but it's not enough for documents.  I'm going to create a 'Folder' template, but that then doesn't allow for having other metadata on those folders (if it's setup).

Any updates from the dev team about custom themes?
