Cloud Feature Request - Login - Warn on invalid account IDs

It seems I can enter pretty much any number into the account ID field and it will take me to the login page.

We had someone mis-type the account ID and never knew, so it lead to being locked out of the system and not knowing what was wrong, since the account ID was only 1 number off.

Would be helpful to at least not accept invalid account IDs if the customer name can not be shown for verification after entering your account ID.

 

Also: Should not allow you to save your Account ID until a successful login is made, this way the invalid key is not entered only one time when someone is failing to login.

We will not implement this feature as it would allow a malicious user to probe for valid account IDs. We are looking at other ways to make signing into Laserfiche Cloud more straightforward.

It currently does not show the company name your trying to login to either. If all of this is for security purposes it is making it tricky for the end users to sign in. Words are easier to type than long numbers so I would recommend account IDs which are made of words.

I thought you could embed the account ID into the URL you provide to users?

You can use this URL with your customer's Acct # and bookmark it so they don't have enter it everytime
