Re-assigning a private Forms Draft

asked on November 16, 2022

Is there any options for re-assigning Private Drafts, any database scripts or something?

We have 100 drafts users can no longer access due to the accounts being on an old domain controller and no way to migrate them to the new, we can see the drafts in Forms 11 Update 2, but the only option is to delete them.

The data is there but we want to re-assign it to the new accounts or at least be able to access it as an admin, the new domain has new accounts (they have the same SID from the old controller) but they are new accounts on a new controller.

I am not sure if this still applies. We are on version 11 and we retain SIDs with participants. Also the new user account does not have a different username or SID, but it IS a new account (so somehow this is allowed, the old account was just overridden but none of the stuff came over)

It does still apply. I have run it countless times over the years.

When you say it IS a new account, do you mean in Active Directory or in Forms?

Well it is a new active directory with a new account, but the SID has not changed from the old directory. So in Forms it is a new account, but with the same username and the same SID as the old account which saved the drafts.

So in this script there is no OLD Username or OLD SID to use.

Username is still their company email and SIDs were migrated with the domain migration.
