All forms process inconsistantly not completing lookups

We are having an issue where our all forms processes are inconsistently not loading the lookups on forms.

Currently users are having to close and restart processes, sometimes up to 30 times before the lookup values populates.  This issue started a week ago and got worse after loading the latest Microsoft .net updates.

Some lookups will populate only half the fields on one load, but if you close and restart the process it will load all fields with the same information on the next load.  

The stored procedures have no issue running on the sql server and I'm down to running them manually on some critical business process to get the data into the system.

 

We've done the settings for TLS1.2, rejoined the server to the domain, checked all settings.

Hi Sonja,

Is there any error message about lookup in Forms event log (Admin/Operational channel under Laserfiche-Forms-App)? 

The problem seems environment related. I would suggest opening a support case with your VAR for further troubleshooting.

Hi Ziyan

We were battling to get assistance with our VAR.  We have since figures out it was caused by a windows update that was installed 2022-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.7 for Windows Server 2019 for x64 (KB5020685)

This is not an update that can be uninstalled but as our forms server are on it's own virtual server we restored the backup from before the update which resolved the issue.

Hi Sonja,

Which version of Forms did you use? I tried with latest Forms and server 2019 with latest update, but could not reproduce the issue.

And can you please take a look at the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full on your server and let use know the Release value? It represents the version of .NET Framework installed.

Hi Sonja, we cannot tell the current in use version from the control panel;

Can you please check the registery at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full on your server and let use know the Release value? It represents the version of .NET Framework installed as I previously mentioned. Thanks!
