Question

How to remove Address Line 2 and Country from Address field in forms 11

asked on October 26, 2022

Created a new form in forms 11 and added the Address field type to the form, in prior versions we could use JavaScript to remove these fields and remove the required requirement on these fields.  How can we remove these fields and remove the required requirement now in forms 11 via CSS?

Also how can we change Postal/Zip Code to be just Zip Code?

With the next release of Forms 11 Update, you will be able to use field rule to control whether the address field is required or not with the new form designer.

We will consider adding out of box support for customize the labels for address field.

Xiuhong,

I appreciate the information, but it doesn't answer my questions.  Still would like the ability to remove the Address Line 2 and Country fields and change the Postal/Zip Code to be just Zip Code now and not in the next release which could be months away.

Hi Steven,

Forms 11 still fully supports the Classic Designer. If customizing the Address field in the manner you describe is critical to the process you're building and you need an immediate solution, simply switch to the Classic Designer and use JavaScript as you have before.

Support for "customizing the labels for address fields" in the new Form Designer would include the ability to change "Portal/Zip Code" to be just "Zip Code".

@████████the first part of the request is to selectively hide/not require specific subfields (like Country) even if the Address field as a whole is required. Country is often unnecessary for the user to provide because it's implied by the process (like a permit request for a specific city).
