As a disclaimer I have not yet implemented either of these systems, but we have received demos from both organizations and personally I lean more toward Adobe's product offerings.

Abode provides a RESTful API (with a legacy SOAP API) and other useful functionality like webhook callbacks. The forms can also be created in a way similar to Laserfiche forms with type validation (number, email, etc.), regex validation rules, custom rules to show/hide/disable fields, etc.

Adobe also offers a lot of pre-built integrations and has a partnership with Microsoft so there's a lot of stuff for that too; they offered to give us access to a sandbox environment in our very first meeting, so there's a lot to consider with each company's products.

DocuSign offers a lot as well, so I won't say that adobe is objectively better; I'd just say that having interacted with both vendors within the past month I was a lot more satisfied with the demos, responsiveness, information, and transparency we got from Adobe.

That being said I highly recommend talking to both before making any decisions because the most important considerations are going to be the unique needs of your organization.

I definitely recommend DocuSign.  Note: I have only briefly utilized Adobe Sign, so I admit my opinion is baised.

I always felt that despite having lots of customizability and options, that DocuSign is easy to use and understand, but you can go much deeper with your stuff than just the basic sending of a form to be signed.  Plus there are lots of companies that integrate with them, and they have a very robust RESTFUL API to build your own integrations.

We have a couple systems that we use integrations with DocuSign.

I built a tool to connect to their API to populate templates from Laserfiche Forms.  I did it the hard way and built something that I can connect to directly from the form in progress, but you could probably make something work in an easier manner using Workflow.

There are also existing tools to integrate between the Laserfiche repository and DocuSign (we don't currently use them, and I can't remember if they were provided by Laserfiche, or by our Solution Provider, or if they both had one).

I'm a nut for anything I can connect and automate, so I really like all that stuff.

Matthew, exactly the kind of feedback we're looking for!  Thanks for mentioning the RESTFUL API piece.  Laserfiche has a Connector for Docusign, which is included with the Subscription Business Tier (25 users).  Or available as an add-on for smaller installations.  Thanks!
