Canon Flatbed 102 Support

asked on October 6, 2022 Show version history

Hello, I am trying to work a flatbed scanner into our internal scanning workflow for very thin or fragile documents. I selected the Canon Flatbed 102 based on its price point and that it is listed as supported on the Laserfiche website. I noticed it had TWAIN and ISIS support which is great.

My issue is that when setting this up under ScanConnect I do not see it as an option. Has anyone else had this issue, or could you recommend a flatbed scanner than is ScanConnect compatible?

I wanted to provide an update. The Canon Flatbed Scanners needs an accompanying Compatible Canon scanner with ISIS capability to enable ScanConnect functionality. In our case, we have some Canon DR-X10Cs. When a Canon Flatbed 102 is plugged into the same computer as one of these, it will enable a special driver that allows for tandem scanning. A Canon Flatbed 201 is similar, but it needs to be wired in series with a Compatible Canon scanner for it to have ScanConnect functionality. The driver name will look something like this "Canon DR-X10C w/ CF102".

Without this, you are stuck with TWAIN or WIA.
