Connector-Cloud Install Repository Connection "Error Sending HTTP request to server"

asked on September 28, 2022

Hello,

I am testing the install of Connector using our Cloud Repository.

I have installed Connector using a Cloud Activation Key I was provided.

Once the install completed, I went in to create a profile.

At the Laserfiche Repository section, I put in our Cloud sign URL, as specified on this Cloud Signin URL below as specified in the Cloud Admin Guide, but when I click on the dropdown for Repository name, it shows loading then errors out with the error in the title of my post:

https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/en-us/Default.htm#signing-in.htm?Highlight=connector

I tried the retry option and no luck

I verified that I can access our Cloud WebAccess main page using the URL I entered in the Laserfiche Server field.

Appreciate any feedback anyone might have.

Jeff Curtis

If you are connecting using the Server/Repository setup, you want to specify both as r-000ab000.laserfiche.com and make sure the "use SSL" checkbox is checked.

The instructions in the help file are for when you would want to use the web client instead. I'll ask for them to be clarified.

Hello Miruna,

Thanks, but there is no "use SSL" checkbox on this setup page:

FYI- this is Connector 10.3.  I tried installing Connector 11, but received the following error (Using the same activation key).  I opened a LF Support case for that:

Thanks,

Jeff

Hey Shule,

I opened the support case for the Connector 11 error and it turned out the activation key I was using was not set to allow activations versions higher then 10.3.

Alex resolved this and I was able to update to V11.

With V11, you get to choose the option for Network Repository or Laserfiche Cloud:

Once you select Laserfiche Cloud, complete the profile and test.  At this point you then receive the Cloud Login screen asking for your Cloud ID and username/pw.

So for users to use Connector in the cloud, do they need to be on version 11, as the repository option I show above is not in the 10.3 profile, as seen in my update post from yesterday, or is this a bug on 10.3?

I am all good now, so I will check back on this post for an update later.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis
