Feature Request: Skip Option When Moving Documents/Folders

asked on September 23, 2022

When moving documents/folders and a naming conflict happens you currently are presented with the following options:

If you choose cancel it cancels the entire operation. If you are copying multiple documents/folders at a time it becomes frustrating. It would be nice if there was a third option to Skip. This would skip the current entry and move onto the next.

Hey Blake, why not just change the option for name conflicts to automatically rename. You can always go back and remove the renamed ones if they are different.

In this case it's 6,000+ folders.

Yes, but if you set it to "add as a new document and automatically rename", after all documents are saved, you can find anything with the (2) or (n) in that folder that were just added and delete them. Still faster than answering the prompt or stopping the process.

Is it weird that I hear your voice in my head as I read your replies, lol. The option is only for renaming documents though. In my specific case I am needing to merge folders. I added documents in the request because I figured it would apply to both situations. What is really needed is a merge option, but there is already a request for that feature. In the meantime I am creating a workflow.
