Automated way to move entries between Cloud and On-Prem?

asked on September 19, 2022

Is there an automated way to move entries between Cloud and On-Prem?

We are looking to use the Capture Profiles and Invoice Capture features of Cloud with an On-Prem dedicated Workflow/Repository.

There's no built-in way to do this, though perhaps some other commenters can suggest some approaches.

What's keeping this customer from being able to build this process entirely in cloud?

They would ultimately want to get the invoices and their data into their primary repository. They often run workflows that require finding more than 100 documents at a time, or routing more than a few thousand documents at a time which could include these invoices. The direct and fast integration options for On-Prem, ability to call stored procedures, and write your own queries is huge as well.

Hey Chad, if you purchase the SmartInvoice and Capture Profile subscriptions for your onPrem system, then those features will become available to your onPrem system.

Otherwise, if you just need to connect the 2 systems, I'd look for the pending release of the Laserfiche API server for OnPrem (Part of SDK Kit) which would give you a Restful API at both ends, and you could use WebRequest to move files between the 2 system, including Metadata.

As Steve pointed out, leveraging our API's might be a good solution for you.  If you have the time I'd love to hear more about your particular use-case and to see if our API offerings would be a good fit for you.  Please feel free to reach out to if you'd like to discuss this further.  I can be reached at andrew.spear at laserfiche.com.

You can purchase Smart Invoice Capture for On-Prem systems? I thought the release of this was delayed with a to-be-determined release status.
