Have mobile device swicth to numeric keypad for Number field input in a form

I have a number field on a form and would like the mobile device to automatically flip to the numeric keypad when the user clicks into the field for input.  I'm struggling to find an example of Java or CSS to accomplish this.  Anyone have any ideas?  It looks like it worked in old LF versions up to 10 automatically.

The number field I am using has zero digits past decimal and no commas.  It essentially is an integer field for the data input.

Looks like this works as described with no additional configuration as long as the form is the "New Form" style and the Forms server is version 11 and updated to update 2.  I was on version 11 but did not have the update installed.  Hopefully this helps someone else.
