Question

Minimum Date set to today's date/current date?

asked on August 26, 2022

Is there a way to set the minimum date to the current date with using the minimum date feature in Forms? If not that would be a cool feature to add.

We are adding a new feature to new form which will support using current date or other date variable to validate the maximum date or minimum date with field rule. This will be available soon for Cloud and will be available for self-hosted Forms in the next release.

Thank you! I just installed Update 3 today and I've spent the last couple hours trying to get JavaScript working to use the code I had in Classic. Now I see there are more Field Rules available!

It's available as a Rule. You can also select another variable, like StartDate if you're setting the EndDate field, and conditionals.

Hey yes that uses Java. Most of our customers would like to move to the new Forms vs Classic. Currently Java isn't supported from my understanding or they may have had an update. Since Laserfiche allows you to set a minimum date it would be a cool feature to allow you to set that as today or based on a variable.
