The service limits only mention a maximum amount of tables but not rows or columns. There is a limit of 10k per source document upload, but not for the table. There is usually some upper limit to table sizes even in Excel, are there no limits in lookup tables?

Yes, see service limits.
Edit: I see what you mean, the category header is incorrect. The "import limits" are per table limits, not specific to imports. We'll correct that.

Hi Chad,
I know I have at least 1 lookup table that began as a single row with the source document, but is now 10k rows long and does not accept new rows.

This might not be mentioned in the service limits documentation. Only a maximum table count is listed as a limitation.

There are now updated limits for Lookup Tables that are published in the Service Limits page that are based on your license tier and greater than 10k rows.
