Is there a configuration for how long / how many files Forms keeps in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche Forms\TempFile

Do you see files in there that you have reason to believe are no longer in use and should have been cleared out? If so, what and why?
It was reported that the files go back to 2019, the total size of the folder is 12GB. It seems they don't need this much temp data, especially given that there is a copy in the database and often even another copy saved to the repository for many processes.
To be clear, are you saying that you've confirmed the bulk of those 12 GB of files are form attachments?
The extension is either TIFF or PDF so either attachments or copies of forms. IT is just asking if the size of the folder can be managed, what is the maximum size right now before it rolls over?
Forms version number (please always include this)?
Is the Forms instance standalone or a split DMZ one?
Also, please confirm that the Forms instance is not configured to use a Volume for File Storage that points to the directory in question.
Anyway, those temp files could be from a bunch of different things. Years of randomly failed submissions, failed page extraction or PDF generation, etc. Forms uses 3rd party libraries for many of those functions, and if those have failures, it's not always easy for Forms to know what failed (and thus clean it up).
You can almost certainly safely delete any files in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche Forms\TempFile older than 6 months.
Can you provide some screenshots(show the oldest and the latest) to show the files under C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche Forms\TempFile folder, we want to know what kind of temp files are not cleared out.
I logged onto another customer server that I have direct access to and looked there. The retention looks to be 2-3 years of data.
Thanks for sharing, those files are safe to be deleted. And we are investigating why some temp files are not deleted and we will enhance the clean up in next release.
