Using value of dropdown menu in another field

ok so i am using a drop down menu in laserfiche forms and the option is a month such as July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022.  Then in the value i have the due date.  Then based on the option they choose i want to use the value which is the due date and fill it in another field.  what is the javascript to do this?

You don't need JavaScript, you can just use Calculations.

When you edit the field, click Advanced, and under Calculations you can just set it equal to the dropdown variable.

For example, if you're just taking the value from one field and copying it to another
