Hello- New to Laserfiche, I am about ready to introduce LF to the District. Has anyone done this? I would love to see ideas or outlines on what you may have used?

What stage are you at... Just opened the "box" and discovered it is completely empty and you will have to build the folder structure and come up with a plan for policies and procedures? Or have you done all that and are now ready to introduce it to your District and get them to start using it?
Yes, we are done the folder structures. We do not have a policy and procedure set yet, I need to introduce it to the district by beginning of Q4. If not sooner.
Training is important... group training if possible, but maybe best done after you do training with a few test pilots (which you may have already done). We had a small department in our ORG bring in all their records and begin using Laserfiche for many months before we had all the tweaks done and confirmed we had everything the way we wanted it. (Happened to be the CAO's team of assistants that we were working with so, the good side of that was that our head person was fully on board with all of our implementation team's decisions before we introduced it to the other departments!)
We had our own operating manual designed and ready to use during training.
Bring in one department at a time... helps to get more tweaks done before it effects everyone. We brought our largest and busiest department in last.
Do you have naming conventions and templates all ready?
I recommend your head person be there for the first few minutes of your "introduction" training classes to do a introduction speech that is an upbeat speech about how this is going to make finding records way easier, but making it clear that they are to follow your implementation team's instructions carefully as it will be critical to making this a smooth and successful transition. I have seen companies not do this part and end up abandoning the software and all their hard work bc "people do not like change" and they did not enforce anything. Of course, very few people used it and/or used it right. Ended up with a mess that no one wanted any part of.
Feel free to contact me if you have specific questions. cprendergast@flagstaff.ab.ca
Great Info. I may reach out to you regarding the operating Manual. Thanks again!
The manual was very specific to our folder structure, our naming convention and our templates (when to use what template) so it might not be that useful to you. Laserfiche now has some good introduction options that weren't available when we started:

Here is one I saved for our users and added my own notes into.
Thank you for this PDF. Did you have the trainers watch the videos enclosed?
We are a small office of about 30 people and I am the only trainer. I did all the training before they created these great training videos, but when I spotted them, I provided our staff with the links to watch if they wanted to. I don't know how many of them would have checked it out.
