what is the max number of rows allowed in a dropdown field?

We are trying to add all active and inactive employee names to use with quickfields. It's about 9000 names. Can a drop down field handle that many rows? Or do I need to split it up another way?

See Laserfiche Server Specifications/System Limits.

It's technically unlimited. That doesn't mean you won't see client-side performance impacts, especially if it's a repository dynamic field.

Consider if the Quick Fields Lookup or Field Lookup processes could meet your need instead.
