What formula could be used to combine two fields, where the first field already has something in it. I want what is in it, plus what is in another field.

Going to probably use Concatenate. Click the learn more button in the formulas and it takes you to all the options. This assumes that the fields are single line fields. Maybe have to combine it with IF's and OR's if you want to check for blanks or empty values if they are possible.

I can't seem to get the variable for the 1st field into the Advanced Formula field for the first field. I think it's understood that I would be looking elsewhere so it doesn't provide that field.
And when I try just typing in the variable that I know it is, I get a calculation error.

You could reach out to your var for support in case its something weird or screenshots and further info really help on Answers. Showing the field and the field types and such
