The username or password is incorrect '

Hello ,

 

Whenever trying to login via the windows client tool to the test env,  I experienced the following error : 

'The username or password is incorrect 'although it is correct, the error is repetitive with several users . 

below are the details 

Error Code: 6000
Error Message: The user name or password is incorrect. (0x8007052E)
Unknown error. [6000]

The error says your using Windows Auth, which might mean something is wrong with the feature, which simply asks the operating system for your credentials. If you uncheck Use Windows Auth you can manually enter your domain fully qualified username and password and see if that works.

If you're unable to troubleshoot this further and Chad's suggestion doesn't turn up any leads, feel free to have your SP open a support case for this issue. Be sure to include screenshots or a video of the issue and any LFS/LFDS event logs captured after reproducing the issue.
