how to see the import agent event log?

How can I see this? From what I could tell looking at the docs, I need to enter the audit trail, which seems to be web based. When I arrive at this page, it asks me for my credentials as admin, it will not accept them. 

This is part of a larger problem in which the ImportAgent isn't importing PDFs anymore after an upgrade to LF 11.2, and seems the way to move forward is to see the event logs and post them here. I should know how to do this anyway. Thanks.

It sounds like you are trying to get the logs from the Event Viewer not from Audit Trail.

Event Viewer is a Windows program.  If you access it on your server that is running Import Agent, you should be able to find the Import Agent event logs there.

This is a screenshot from my server showing a bunch of errors because it's trying to import a file that the user still has open.
