Generate Pages from PDF and delete the PDF

Hello,

I trying to apply attributes to the Everyone group to apply settings for the PDF to generate pages on import and then delete the PDF. I'm aware of the attribute to set for not keeping the PDF.

[Settings]KeepPDFFile = No

I noticed a new setting to specify whether the PDF will be black or white or color, but not sure if I need to apply this one or any other attributes related to page generation to the everyone group as well to make the TIFF generate and the PDF delete happen.

This doesn't seem to work immediately after applying, so are there any other attributes that need to be applied to make this work? Also, after applying the attributes what is the procedure needed to test, is a log out and back in necessary or any other steps?

Hi Brian,

I don't believe setting color vs black & white is required for it to work.

However, something to note is that attributes set on the Everyone group are "defaults" meaning they will not override a user's personal attributes.

That being the case, the setting would apply to users logging into for the first time, but not to anyone who has logged in before.

The only way to force that, is to make sure the user is signed out so they don't have an active session (i.e., clicking Sign Out, not just closing the client) then you'd have to delete any attributes from their account that you want to be pulled from the defaults.
