Third-party Encryption Software

The customer need to protect and encrypt the files on Laserfiche system as per cyber security regulations, and based on Laserfiche help files, it is strongly recommended to use third-party encryption software instead of Laserfiche volume encryption for live volumes.

So they are seeking for a recommendations from Laserfiche about some of these software which are working perfect with Laserfiche system.

 

Also there question how Laserfiche is dealing with encrypted files by other software (how it will display and edit an encrypted files by non-LF software?)

I'm not sure if you've seen the whitepaper named Building a Secure Ecosystem for Laserfiche, but it has some good information in it. It doesn't list any specific software that has been used successfully, but it does let you know that "Whatever encryption tool you use, the user that the Laserfiche Server service runs as must be able to to see through the encryption, as users will be accessing repository content through this service.". I would recommend giving it a read if you haven't already.
