Laserfiche IOS & Android Application

Good day

 

The attached Image is of the error message that is given when we submit during the dispatch process

The IOS app works perfectly when handling the QC process, but the issues start when it’s time to dispatch.

Since the QC process is fully functional it leads me to believe that there is a programming error within form that needs to be fixed.

Even after many tries the same message came up.

 

The IOS app seems to be more functional than the android in the sense that it allows you to upload photos.

The Android app closes the application without warning and even after reopening the app to try again, it continues to throw the user out and they are then forced to use Google Chrome with the Web App.

 

Both the IOS and Android apps aren’t fully functional, and I would like to ask that you give more attention to the Back-End of the applications  

With the Mobile apps giving problems we are forced to use the Google chrome Web App which is the work around.

we are currently running the following 

Laserfiche Forms Professional Server Version: 10.4.1.172

Laserfiche Mobile App Server version: 11.0.0.485621

 

Android OS version: 11

Android App version: 2022.4.12

 

IOS OS version: 15.4.1

IOS App Version: 2022.5.3

 

Please give me feedback

Thanks for the response, I have requested that our partner perform the update, we will monitor after the update is done and let you know if the issues persist.

Hi Delon,

I noticed that you are running a version of Laserfiche Forms (v10.4.1) which is several years old with a current v11 release of Laserfiche Mobile Server. There is a good chance that the issues you are experiencing are because of that version gap. I checked the release notes for Mobile Server 11 and they do not explicitly say it is compatible with earlier versions of Forms.

Are you able to upgrade to the latest Laserfiche Forms 11 release and test if the issue persists? While it is still possible the issue has a different cause, the version mismatch is significant and something we would want to rule out before troubleshooting further.

Good day, 

After updating our Laserfiche Form to version 11, we found that the IOS version had a little to no more bugs.

The goal is to get the devices running the app to take photos of jobs in real time instead of uploading them from the gallery.

Once we updated our Samsung TAB-A7 to the latest android version we found that certain function would allow the app to take photos and, in most instances, it restarts the app without warning and all information and progress is the lost.

This happened after opening new jobs via QC process, once you’ve filled in your information and pressed the upload button the application send you back to the sign in page then back into the application.

Even after multiple attempts the app just keeps throwing the user out, this happens when we press the upload button.

Are there any previously reported problems using the Android Laserfiche app that we should be aware of ?

We have been struggling to get the app to be fully functional with our Android devices, please advise.

Hi Delon,

I'm glad to hear upgrading to Forms 11 seems to have resolved the issues with iOS. There is a known issue with Android photo upload right now, though your issue may be a different problem. I sent the team your post and they plan to look into it.
