Hello,
I have a customer with an issue I haven't run into before. They have a workflow that they would like to be able to start manually on documents. The workflow seems to be configured properly, but the custom button in the toolbar will not work - nothing happens when the button is clicked. However, if the user right-clicks the document, chooses "Start Business Process," and then picks the workflow they want, it runs just fine.
I found a post on here that said this can happen if the user is not a local admin on their PC - that is not the issue here as the user is a local admin. Anything else I should look at?
Thanks!

Windows client - custom button unable to start business process

If you add the shortcut to your toolbar and you do not meet the qualifications to start the workflow, the icon will grey out. If the icon is not grey it means they CAN start the process and it should start on press.
Using the right click context menu, or a shortcut from the toolbar is the same request. So this must be a bug with the toolbar and not related to the workflow itself. You should be able to reproduce with other test workflows.
Hi Chad,
Yes, I'm able to reproduce the issue with other workflows. Button works fine as the admin user on their Laserfiche server machine. I would like to see how the button behaves with the admin user on the user's PC, but not sure what that would tell me if it works.
The difference between users is the attributes and rights, but since the user can use the button on the context menu and only not on the toolbar I would expect it is a bug rather than a rights or attribute.
Talked to Support, and it appears to be a bug with at least versions 10.4 and 11. Not sure if a hotfix will be released or if it'll have to wait till the next release.
