Today, May 9th 2022, Laserfiche announces the end-of-life for Laserfiche Connector for Samsung. Today also marks the end of new sales of the product. Existing customers will no longer be able to renew support after October 1st 2022. Customers with active support will continue to receive support as outlined in the table below.

On November 1st 2022, Laserfiche will end software maintenance of Laserfiche Connector for Samsung. No support services will be offered for Laserfiche Connector for Samsung after the end of 2022, marking the end-of-life.

* Note that this announcement is only for the hardware connector and is not related to Laserfiche Connector. There are no plans to announce an end-of-life for Laserfiche Connector.

 

Product Migration Options

When considering migration options, there are a couple of different paths to consider. Many customers use Laserfiche Import Agent to monitor a network folder for recently scanned documents to import into Laserfiche. Import Agent can use rules to rename, add metadata, and import documents to the appropriate folder, which can also be supplemented and expanded with Laserfiche Workflow. Some customers built their own custom integration with their MFP, or outsourced the custom development work to a Solution Provider or integrator. We encourage you to consult with your Solution Provider to see which is the best path for your content management needs going forward.

Customers with current support will be given credit towards a purchase of additional Laserfiche products such as User licenses. Credit does not apply to non-Laserfiche products, such as Samsung hardware. An exception of downgrades in total support are allowed in the case that you want to end support of the Laserfiche Connector for Samsung product without purchasing additional product.
