Oauth for Gmail?

asked on May 6, 2022 Show version history

On May 30, 2022 Google is shutting down the Less Secure Apps system for consumer and business class domains. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en

One of our client's has all of their accounts currently having email routed to them, and importing mail into LF utilize "Less Secure Apps" to authenticate IMAP for LF. Their email flow is as follows

O365 -----> Google ------> LFMail Accounts with routed email --------| Less secure apps for imap authentication | ------> Email import/archiver/Laserfiche ------> Repository

I see that update 1 of Import Agent can use Oauth 2.0 with O365, but Gmail is not mentioned. Is there a plan to add Oauth support for Gmail this before the deadline on May 30th?

This is a major concern for our client. Thank you in advance.

Forms 11 Update 3 has added support for OAuth 2.0 with Gmail.

You can see other changes of Forms 11 Update 3 from  https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1014413/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-forms-11-update-3 and get Forms 11 Update 3 from Laserfiche 11 package  https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1014263/software-versions-and-fixes-included-in-the-laserfiche-11-download-package

When "Allow less secure app" setting is no longer supported, you should still be able to use app password(https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 )to connect to your gmail account?
