Enhancement Request: Sort Order of Applications Listed per Server

asked on May 5, 2022 Show version history

In Directory Server -> Overview -> Server tab it shows a great list of the various servers that are registered and the application(s) that are installed on them. The way it displays the applications appears to be random. I'm sure there is a method to the madness, but could the applications be sorted by name? This makes it easier when comparing multiple servers, for instance when they are in a NLB configuration.

It would also be nice if the Servers themselves were sorted alphanumerically.

@████████This is indeed a little odd.

My very messy test server:

The page source shows it's listing them by some index:

Should probably have alphabetical sorting just like the apps in the Application tab and the server hostnames in the Server tab.

Hey Blake,

I've filed feature request DS-I-70 for alphabetizing the Overview page in general.

I've really never paid much attention to that tab - but my servers show 0 registered instances even though they do appear on the Application tab.

Hey Craig, does it still appear that way after refreshing the page?

I'm in the same boat as Craig. Hadn't noticed this tab before, but almost all my machines show 0 applications but they look right under the Applications section. Even after a refresh. This is for version 10.4.5

Hi Pieter, it may be worth opening a support case for this issue so we can gather more information.

Refresh has no effect - Servers still show 0 registered instances.  I'll get a case opened.
